Can CBD be Mailed legally?

The Drug Enforcement Agency has clarified that any part of the cannabis plant is federally illegal. However, if there is absolutely no THC content and the extracts were produced from the hemp plant, it is legal to contain and distribute the oil extract CBD.

With their statements on legality of cannabis, the DEA released this statement:

“For practical purposes, all extracts that contain CBD will also contain at least small amounts of other cannabinoids. However, if it were possible to produce from the cannabis plant an extract that contained only CBD and no other cannabinoids, such an extract would fall within the new drug code.”

Legal CBD is derived from the male hemp plant whereas CBD from cannabis extract is from the female. Hemp cannot be legally grown but can be legally imported and shipped. Online stores and actual shops can provide CBD, but what plant the extracts come from might all vary on where the company is established and what laws pertain to them. When buying CBD products such as oils, vapes, gummies, etc. you'll want to make sure it is a reliable source with good recommendations and reviews.
