Three Great CBD Informational & Educational Resources
Where does one find good information on CBD? The web is big. A Google search for CBD brings up more than 116 million results. Where to start? We’ve put together a list of what we consider to be three of the top resources for information on CBD.
Whether you’re a doctor, scientist, patient, or consumer, you’ll probably find the information you’re looking for on one of these sites.
Wikipedia has a great Cannabidiol page, with a quick but very comprehensive and insightful overview of every side of CBD, such as CBD's place in modern society and culture, CBD's legal status around the globe, the ever-advancing research being done around the world on its medical uses, possible drug interactions, and CBD's pharmacology, biology, and chemistry. It also includes a large list of much more extensive academic, government, and news sources at the end of the article. There are also links to very useful pages about cannabinoids in general and just about all other aspects of cannabis.
Project CBD has a fantastic website with probably the most comprehensive list of medical studies done with CBD. The California-based nonprofit is dedicated to promoting and publicizing research into the medical uses of cannabidiol CBD. They provide educational services for physicians, patients, industry professionals, and the general public. You might also be interested in signing up for Project CBD’s free online newsletter. According to Project CBD:
“We emphasize CBD not to privilege one cannabinoid compound over another but to challenge the idea that cannabis equals THC. THC is a remarkable molecule in its own right, but THC is not the whole plant, and neither is CBD. Project CBD defends and supports whole plant cannabis therapeutics.”
Leafly is the largest cannabis lifestyle website out there, and according to them, 'CBD' is the top search term on the site. A quick search for 'CBD' brings up more than 5,000 results, including information on strains, articles, products, uses, gear, and pretty much everything else a consumer might be interested in. Leafly's comprehensive content on cannabis, and CBD, is an essential informational and educational resource.
